Under the personal witness of general secretary Xi Jinping and President Sassou, the city of Pointe-Noire in the republic of Congo has established friendship with the city of Suzhou in China. At the invitation of Suzhou municipal people's government, a delegation from Pointe-Noire municipal government came to visit Suzhou.
With the opening up and industrialization of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a large number of professional and technical personnel are urgently needed. Accompanied by the leaders of the foreign affairs office of Suzhou municipal people's government, the delegation came to visit our university on September 13 and had in-depth communication and exchange on the cooperation in the field of higher vocational education.
President Cao Yumin warmly met with all the delegation members in the meeting room in harmony building, introduced our university, and expressed that Suzhou vocational university is willing to start from its own advantages in vocational education, and make positive contributions to the development of teacher training and talent training in Pointe-Noire. Vice president Zhang Jian accompanied the foreign guests to visit Wu culture park, accounting museum, automobile training center and intelligent manufacturing center.
The head of the delegation of the municipal government of Pointe-Noire expressed his sincere thanks for the warm reception and stressed that the young people of the republic of Congo are eager to have the opportunity to study in Suzhou. Upon their return to Congo, based on the specialty setting of our university, they will discuss in depth the selection and dispatch of international students with the education department.
Since 2018, the foreign affairs work of our university has been further developed and the cause of foreign exchanges has been further promoted. Foreign guests from Australia, Maldives and the republic of Congo have been pouring in for visits and exchanges. In October, a delegation from Spain and an undergraduate delegation from Victoria state university will also visit and study at the universit.
