SVU Students Won Prizes in the BRICS Vocational Skills National Competition

From November 1th to 6th, the final competition of 2022 BRICS Vocational Skills was successfully held in Xiamen, Fujian. The cooperative robot competition, under the guidance of Liu Guang and Wang Renzhong from the School of Mechano-electronic Engineering, in which students Ren Shanjian and Zhang Guowei participated, won the third prize.

In order to implement President Xi's initiative spirit at the 13th BRICS Summit and build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between vocational colleges and enterprises of the five countries, the Education Ministry of China, together with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and other departments, jointly held this competition.

The competition focuses on high-end manufacturing, digital economy, new industries, new formats, new technologies and other key areas, so as to enhance the ability of vocational college teachers and students in innovation, coordination, organization, cooperation and other aspects, enrich the contents of vocational colleges and enterprises' exchanges and cooperation, and promote the cultivation of international high-quality skilled talents in BRICS countries as a whole.
