Recently, the second round of the 2023 Jiangsu University Foreign Student Teaching Observation Competition was held at Changzhou Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College. Zhang Yaqin, a teacher from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our school, and Guo Minhuan, a teacher from the School of Electronic Information Engineering, were nominated for the finals and won third prizes, respectively.

    The Jiangsu University Foreign Student Teaching Observation Competition is organized by the Foreign Student Education Management Research Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Association under the guidance of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. The aim is to deeply implement the Opinions of the Ministry of Education and other eight departments on Accelerating and Expanding the Opening up of Education in the New Era and the 14th Five Year Plan for Education Development in Jiangsu Province, and actively promote the Study Abroad in Jiangsu action plan, continuously improve the quality of training international students in China. Our International College actively organized teachers to prepare this competition, and in the end, both participating teachers were shortlisted for the semi-finals. They competed with 76 course lecturers from 43 undergraduate and vocational colleges in the province and won awards.

      In the future, the school will further strengthen the training of international teaching staff, continuously improve the teaching quality and talent cultivation level of international students in China, and create a benchmark school for international education.
